Adding on to the choreography I created for my African Roots of Solo Vernacular Jazz Class! A throw back to my class on the African Roots of Solo Vernacular Jazz. We ended with a little choreo that combined the two styles. I'm going to build on it in the coming days! Today I choreographed a swing fusion piece with the amazing Amina Vohra (www.districtgroove.com). It's coming as a cardio workout soon! Today I am combining elements of Charleston and African dance--one of my favorite things to do! Everyone say it with me: "Done and fun are better than perfect!" I've learned this from running a business, putting together the initial stages of choreography, and tackling other projects that seem daunting. I further embraced this philosophy this weekend when I knew I needed to balance creating choreography with an 11-hour day of coaching workshops! So, I introduce to you all my coaching colleagues from Accomplishment Coaching! I threw this together in the entry of Busboys and Poets before dinner and then we recorded it. These are all people of incredible possibility and I am honored to have this little video as part of our celebration of life! |
